22 Kilometers!

I woke up this morning at 7:00 a.m. only to find out that the weather was at 4 Celcius. I dont know what to tell you guys but i can’t walk in this weather i just can’t. I’m so cold right now i feel my toes are going to fall off. I think A. Al Ghanim is there now, so i hope he brings back some nice pics. Until then i’m going to be in a sweater, sweat pants, two socks, a hoodie, and a blanket. I HATE WINTERS!

    Hi Jassem
We were sorry not to have you with this morning on our walk of 20.5 kms – that’s the walking length of the Arabian Gulf street. we were just 500 meters short of a half marathon which is 13 miles/21 kms.

4 of us completed it in 3 hours and 20 minutes including Ali G, with an average walking speed of 6.1 kms. A further 5 people came in just a few minutes later. We had a coffee break on route which was unfortunately a bit too long (waiting for an available table in Le Notre). We set off around 8.50 am from Science Center and finished at KPC at 1pm.

For anybody who wishes to keep up with walking please let them know that we meet at 6pm in Mishref on Monday’s and Wednesday’s where we walk faster but a shorter distance of 8 kms. This is to build cardiovascular fitness. Saturday’s long walks are the ‘fat burning’ walks!!

I hope we get the chance to join the two groups more often, with yourself included. Until then –
    Astrid

I have to admit my legs were getting sore towards the end but stretching them out made them feel better once we finished!
